Prior to becoming a provider at Carient Heart & Vascular, he worked with us as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant and Triage Nurse (he may have helped some of you in the past). He returned to take on a larger role in serving the population after receiving his Master’s Degree in PA Studies from Penn State College of Medicine.
Denny has a vast array of healthcare experience with his primary interests including preventative medicine and promoting lifestyle modifications particularly through fitness. As a clinician, he is a proponent of education with great interests in teaching and collaborative decision-making to promote health literacy and patient satisfaction. His research into Metabolic Syndrome in relation to cardiovascular disease helps guide his mindset as your clinician.
My family’s relationship with Cardiology was built early when my little brother was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. My parents had kept his official diagnosis hidden, so I wanted to learn and do more. I’ve always had a fascination with the heart and strive to uncover more of its secrets, so I hope my future patients would like to hope on this journey with me. As my mentor once said – “Pay it forward.
In his free time, Denny enjoys exercising, eating good food and Korean dramas. He was a national competitive swimmer and Scholastic All-American of USA Swimming. He was also a swim instructor for nearly 10 years. He currently stays active by partaking in Spartan and obstacle course racing.
