Dr. Shah Presents "Journey through the Heart" at The Montessori School of Oakton

Dr. Neel K. Shah had an extra special work day recently when he was invited to visit The Montessori School of Oakton’s Elementary students to “Journey through the Heart” together. After learning the fundamentals behind how the heart works and how to keep their hearts healthy, the children participated in hands-on activities using “faux blood” to further explore the power of this essential organ. The presentation was well received – and challenging and mature questions were asked throughout.
As a special parting gift, and in exchange for the promise to maintain heart-healthy habits, each child went home with their very own stethoscope. It looks like MSO has a few physicians in the making!
